Säljs endast i fysisk butik, se våra återförsäljare här.

Produced in Sweden with Swedish raw materials

The From Sweden label means that the products are produced and packaged in Sweden and contain at least 75% Swedish ingredients – in our frozen baby food products the proportion is around 90%.

Without added sugar

The porridge sticks contain no added white sugar and are sweetened with apple puree.

Sara Ask - child dietitian

"These products are designed with the child's development in mind - both in terms of consistency and nutritional content. Young children need to practice grasping and chewing food early, while also needing iron and nutrient-dense foods."

Learn more about the ingredients:

Our oat flour is made from Swedish oats that are ground with the whole grain remaining. This results in a finely ground whole grain oat flour that retains both the natural fibers and nutrients of the oats. The flour contributes a mild cereal flavor and a heartier feel.

Spelt is a grain with a mild flavor and high nutritional density. By combining sifted and whole grain spelt flour, we get both a fluffy texture and valuable nutrients. Spelt also contains less gluten than, for example, regular wheat flour, which makes it a gentle way to introduce gluten to the very youngest.

Our own produced oat drink is completely plant-based and free from milk, which means that children with milk allergies or sensitive stomachs can also enjoy our porridge sticks. This makes our porridge sticks vegan. Since we manufacture the oat drinks ourselves, we have full control over the contents.

We use Swedish rapeseed oil as a source of fat in our baby food because it has a mild and neutral taste and contains a high proportion of unsaturated fatty acids, both monounsaturated and polyunsaturated.

We use an apple puree made from apples only, without added sugar or other additives. The apple puree contributes a fruity note while providing fresh and tart elements.

To add more iron to our baby food, we have added an iron enrichment in the form of an iron salt, commonly used in infant formula, as it has a neutral smell and taste. In total, there is 1.2 mg of iron in each porridge stick - where some of the iron comes naturally from the ingredients and some from the iron enrichment. 1.2 mg represents 12% of the recommended daily intake for a child between 7–11 months and 17% for a child between 1–6 years.

Questions & answers

A child needs to be able to sit up for a longer period of time with minimal support to be able to eat finger foods safely. When this happens is different for different children, sometimes as early as 6 months and sometimes later. Our recommendation is therefore set at 8 months to take into account the different needs of children.
development. If your child is motorically ready and shows an interest in food, you can absolutely offer our products earlier than 8 months.

Baby food is heavily regulated and the raw materials must be free of pesticides, heavy metals and mold toxins. The requirements within baby food legislation are therefore stricter than the organic standard. For our frozen baby food, we have chosen to prioritize Swedish over having EKO certification. Some raw materials cannot be obtained organically in Sweden or they do not comply with baby food legislation. For example, organic eggs often contain too much PFAS, which means that we cannot use them. This makes it difficult to reach the requirement of 95% organic which is needed for EKO certification. However, many of the raw materials are still KRAV or EKO labeled, and the quality is at least as high even without the stamp because it is baby food quality.

The label means that we produce our products in Sweden with at least 75% Swedish ingredients. This means that the ingredients are grown/raised, processed, packaged and controlled in Sweden. In our case, our frozen baby food products contain around 90% Swedish ingredients.

1–2 sticks of porridge are often enough for a small child as a snack, but what is right for your child at the moment depends on the child's hunger, so don't forget to listen to your child's signals.

There is 1.2 mg of iron per porridge stick, which comes both naturally from the ingredients and from an added iron salt.

It is best to store them in the freezer and take them out when serving. If you have opened the bag, it is a good idea to put it in a plastic bag that you seal, to avoid the porridge sticks getting frozen. If you want to store them in the fridge, you can put them in a lunch box, for a maximum of 1 day, after that they will become drier and not as delicious in texture. They will also keep at room temperature for a day.

The quickest way is to either microwave or toaster them briefly so they are no longer frozen. You can also thaw them at room temperature,
which takes about 60-90 minutes.

Since you are not allowed to have any kind of preservative in baby food, there are a few options to make the food last longer. Regular baby food jars are heat sterilized, which is an old technique to increase shelf life. Unfortunately, this is not an option for our products as they would become very dry and dull in texture. The alternative for us is fresh or frozen products, and fresh would not have had a particularly long shelf life. Therefore, frozen is the best option for our products, which means that they last a full 9 months in the freezer. In the freezer, more nutrition is preserved compared to, for example, heat sterilization.
